From Bert and Bird to Elmo, Sesame Street has been the building blocks of four letter words.
42 years ago today, we were first welcomed to a street that was both unlike anything we had seen before, but which also modeled any urban street in America. Since then, Sesame Street has touched the lives of children worldwide by introducing concepts from counting to letters to different cultures. By adopting the lessons learned from advertisers, it tried to sell us on something new and radical - learning. And while its method of delivery has changed over the years, its core reliance on using research to help children learn more about the world they are growing into has never faltered.
Todays entry was brought to you by the number 4, and the letters L and W.
