Why is there so much hate?
Why do people hate others so much that they will strip away their rights? Make their lives exponentially more difficult? Cast them into destitution? Force them to lose control of their own person? All because they are different than themselves?
Even when we claim to follow a commandment to love others - we hate.
Even when we strive for diversity and cherish uniqueness - we hate.
Even when there is nothing more we strive for than happiness - we hate.
Why do we hate ourselves so much? What do we find so loathsome about ourselves that we surround ourselves with illusions and lies? That we subject ourselves to tortures for conformity? That the personal standards we establish are different than those we establish for others? That we cannot be who we are because we know that will be rejected? That we cannot learn from our mistakes?
I hate hatred.
There is something profoundly wrong in nature, society, and ourselves. Sin is a three letter word.
